Over its 26-year history, ACLCE has provided more than $8.5 million in free educational materials to more than 760,000 students and teachers. ACLCE has trained more than 5,000 teachers, law enforcement officers, school resource officers, lawyers, and community leaders in effective civics and law-related education pedagogy and curriculum. More than 4,000 volunteers have been involved in its programs.
To us at ACLCE, each student, teacher, and school has a unique set of requests, challenges, needs, and expectations. Addressing those requires real, sincere, and meaningful attention. To us, you are never just another number. You deserve our best efforts.
Looking back over the years of success we have enjoyed at ACLCE, the most pride comes not from our track record of success, but the real difference we have made in the lives of the students and teachers throughout Alabama.
We understand that your time is valuable. Open communication is one of the keys for us to be able to serve you. We believe in networking with other program providers within and outside the state. Let us help guide the way.
In order to provide our services we rely on the support of many organizations. Support for ACLCE has come from the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, the Center for Civic Education, Jefferson County Family Court, the Junior League of Birmingham, the Department of Youth Services, the State Department of Education,, the Daniel Foundation, Birmingham Bar Foundation, Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham, and the Young Lawyers Section of the Alabama State Bar.
